Sadly our 1st XI fixture at Southbank Cuaco was called off late on Friday due to unfit conditions.
The Reserves travelled across the A10 to take on Winchmore Hill which proved to be an entertaining game with the Hill winning by the odd goal 2-1. Lets hope our Reserves take heart from this performance and get themselves out of trouble in their remaining 8 fixtures.
The 3rd XI took on HSBC in a delayed start due to the opposition not having a kit available from the 10 in attendance. Norsemen duly provided a kit to enable the game to start 10 minutes late.
HSBC showed some resilience with their 10 men, but went behind to a penalty before their full compliment arrived.
The second half brought a good response from the Home side and went further ahead, finally running our 3-0 winners. HSBC had 2 players Sent Off towards the end of the game causing a melee in the middle of the park. Norsemen I am pleased to say kept out of the way.
The 4th XI had the result of the day with an 11-0 victory at Home to Old Finchleians. Their talisman Shane Killick hitting 4, Bradley Brown 5 & Umit Alp 2. This keeps them well on track for a potential Championship place.
The 5th XI lost heavily to Old Parks, although the Result looks worse than the performance. Hopefully they will get back on track this week at the Hill.
The 6s had no game and the 7th XI had their fixture switched to a Home game due to a waterlogged pitch at Old Garchonians. They ran out 2-1 winners with the mighty Sean Lehane rising like a salmon to head home the winner.
WALK TALL YOU BLUE GIANTS!!!
