IAN CHARLES 1955-2017

Picture
It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the passing of Norsemen true legend Ian Charles following a short illness.

Ian has held every possible role at Norsemen and gave his time tirelessly for 37 years. His passing will leave a  huge void at the club and will be a massive loss to anyone who has been fortunate enough to have met him.

Ian was awarded Norsemen of the Year twice, an accolade unprecedented or ever likely to be repeated. In 2013 he was awarded the AFA Keith Busby Award for long service to amateur football.

Not only was Ian loved by all within Norsemen he was a well respected and liked  figure across SAL & AFA football.

Our thoughts are very much with Claire, Hannah and Sophie at this terrible time.

Funeral details will follow in due course.

RIP Chunky
Walk Tall You Blue Giant
