It was another big win for the Hawks and we keep are impressive winning streak rolling on.
We were away against Hoddesdon Reds who were unknown to us so we didn't know what to expect. But it was a good day at the office for us with four great goals from Jake. George was solid in the front line of the attack and blew their defence away with two astonishing goals. William got his first goal of the season as well. The Hawks were 'like Hawks' with some lethal passing and counter attacking. Theo was like Iniesta in central midfield and Luke was like Thiago Silva in defence. Despite being well protected in defence by Luke, Harry G, Dexter and Seb, Arthur made one spectacular save. Hawks go into the half term break looking devlish for the rest of the season. We knew it was going to be a hard game because we played Potters Bar United before and never beaten them in the league. The time had come for our revenge as they had also knocked us out in the semi final of cup last season. The Hawks had a big bonus as they only had eight boys and no subs. Oran took a throw on, Dexter headed it and it hit a Potters Bar hand, Norseman penalty kick! Dexter finally got to take a penalty kick in a league match, he shot with accuracy and power straight down the middle to make it 1-0. At half time it remained 1-0 but Potters Bar striker had had a lot of chances but the Hawks defence stayed strong. It was about ten minutes into the second half and Potters Bar United had a corner. There was a bit of confusion between Harry.G and Oran which allowed the Potters Bar right winger to find space and score. Not long after that Norsemen were playing some good football and George had a long range shot and the goal keeper made a mistake. It bounced off his leg and within a blink off an eye it was in the net. Despite some late pressure from Potters Bar, the ref blew his whistle for full time and Norseman had won 2-1!!!
