The equaliser came from a disappointing source from Norsemen's point of view, an in swinging corner from the Weirside's winger sailing over Zak and Kamali on the post and straight in. The game continued in the same vain with the home side creating more chances, Leroy and Clifford in particular looking lively and dangerous, but the sides went in level at the break.
The longer the second half went on the more stretched the game became, Norsemen missing chances through Clifford, Reggie, Shaq and Darran, who hit the post late on with a great header. Weirside gave as good as they got though and caught Norse on the break on several occasions, Kamali and Os producing a couple of last ditch tackles, and Ballers saved us on two occasions with absolutely brilliant blocks when the Weirside forward looked certain to score.
Overall a very hard fought point and probably a fair result. The unbeaten home record is still in tact, and we look forward to next week's visit to Crouch End.
Honourable mentions to Leroy, Os and Kamali who all put in fantastic performances, with the latter filling in well at centre back when Pearo was injured, but my MOM would go to Ballers - he marshalled the back 4 very well and his two last ditch blocks were as good as goals.
