A good day at the club with us staging another successful Cup Final, bringing much needed income to the bar and my exhortations for old players to come down leading to a brief sighting of David Muir.
On the playing side the Reserves by winning both legs of a double-header have scored double the number of points in the last 4 weeks than they managed in the first 6 months of the season a tribute to having a settled side during that time.
Unfortunately this has not been the case for the First team, multiple changes each week have led to us only taking one point from our last 4 games and we are now right in the midst of a relegation battle with a very important game away to EBOG on Tuesday evening, as I have said before you only get out what you put in and unless we get a grip we will find ourselves in the third division for the first time in our history.
The 3rd's won again and have 2 games left both against promotion rivals. The 4's had no game, the 5's went down to a heavy defeat, the 6's had no game and the 7's had another good win.
The Reserves were the obvious recipients of the Presidents Jug this week.
Next Saturday we stage another SAL Cup Final featuring our old rivals Winchmore Hill 4s whose strength as a club we need to use as a target for us to achieve.
