We continue this post in the absence of our President.
Again the weather heavily affected our programme last weekend, but we still managed to get our 3 Home fixtures played.
The 1st XI continue their rich vein of form with an excellent 3-0 victory over Kew Association. 2 goals from Errol Ibrahim, the second something special from the young forward who has risen from the 7th XI earlier in the season to seal a well earned victory. Confidence is a wonderful thing in football, this together with a great spirit and outstanding leadership has lifted them to a challenging position for a much needed Promotion chance.
The Res XI had an outstanding victory 5-0 away to Polytechnic, who are a close rival in challenging for the SAL Div 2 Intermediate Championship.
The 3rd XI had their game at Alleyn Old Boys cancelled.
The 4th XI went down by the odd goal in a 9 goal thriller to Old Garchonians, who are putting together a serious challenge for the top spot which we have maintained all season to date.
The 5th XI had a 1-3 defeat at home to Old Finchleians and sadly look to be struggling in their Division.
The 6th XI had a great Victory against the top of table team East Barnet OG's 5-3. It is a shame that they got off to a poor start to the season, or they could well be challenging for Promotion.
Unfortunately the 7th XI had to withdraw from their fixture this Saturday.
May I take this opportunity of reminding you all that the ANNUAL DINNER will take place on Friday 24th April 2015 at The Southgate Masonic Hall, Chaseside, Southgate, N14.
