President's Patter for 22nd Apr'17

Sorry for lack of postings last couple of weeks running out of steam.
Although we have several games still to play our final positions are settled.
The 1st and 4th XIs are Champions of their leagues and the 5th XI have been promoted, regrettably the Res XI have been relegated with the 6th & 7th XIs both finishing in 3rd place in their respected Leagues.
So quite a good season but plenty more to aim for to regain our place as one of the stronger clubs in the SAL.
Our Annual Dinner was held for the first time at the Clubhouse on Friday and was a great success with many more players present than for many years and with a good smattering of old sweats who enjoyed an old fashioned evening.
​If the enthusiasm and pride in our club shown can be reflected on the field then we have a good future ahead.
