President's Patter for 31st January 2015.

A really good weekend well worth celebrating in the bar where as we all know the great club spirit that we have is nurtured.
The 1st XI who have had a difficult season have now taken 10 points from their last 4 games culminating in a 6-1 away win against AFC Oldsmiths well done to Os and his team.
Our next three teams are all at the head of their respective divisions and in good position to push for promotion.
A cracking game on a difficult pitch saw the Res XI beat Old Blues 3-0, goal of the season so far from Charncey.
The 3rd XI had a remarkable 19-1 yes 19-1 win over Southgate Olympic who had 11 men and 2 subs. The 4th XI beat AP 4-2. Not such good news lower down with both the 5th and 6th team losing to Broomfield and Winchmore Hill.
I have voiced some criticism of our efforts earlier in the season but I feel that after the struggle of the last few years we may be turning the corner, let's keep up the good work and finish the season well.

How did the youth get on? Did they play? Does any seniors even know? Where are the youth teams in their leagues? Or how about the cup? Does anyone know?

Perhaps you would care to take a look on the Web Site under Youth Section, all teams are listed and each Manager has the opportunity to forward Reports and Details of fixtures etc.
This is another area which has been available, but not used to its best capabilities.
