President's Patter for 7th Feb 2015

9/2/2015

Whilst our President is taking a well earned break visiting his son and newly born Grandchild in Dubai, we continue his post in his absence.
Again our fixtures were depleted by the weather as playing conditions continue to be very difficult, however we managed our Home fixtures of which there were only the 2 games.
The 1st XI continue their rich vein of form with a well deserved 4-1 win at home to Southbank Cuaco.
If only we had Paul Jarrett back from the start of the season, his return has given the team a much improved confidence as we look to climb the table and earn a respectable finish to the season. With still 9 games to go, we could force our way to promotion.
In the other game, sadly our 7th XI suffered a heavy defeat 1-6 at the hands of a well organised Old Parkonians 7th XI. The cancellation of their previous 5 fixtures has not helped their fitness.

On a brighter note, I am pleased to report that our U13 Youth side have reached the Final of the AFA Cup after coming out on top in a 9 goal semi final thriller 5-4. Well done boys and Good Luck in the Final where they meet Whitewebb Eagles.
