President's Patter for Sat 17th Sept'16

21/9/2016

Our first Saturday on our main ground which was looking a picture on a nice autumn afternoon.
The 1st XI were taking on local rivals Broomfield who were playing their first league game of the season, the game ended in a 2-1 victory for Norsemen with a controlled performance and again no cautions.
It seems that the better we behave the better results we get, so let's prove all our doubters wrong and keep up the good work.
This week we have a cup game away to Old Ignations.
The Res XI had their second one goal defeat in a 7 goal match against Ibis. I am sure there is more to come from this side.
The 3rd XI are in a state of flux with many of their regulars of many seasons not being available they lost 7-1 to Merton.
The 4th XI had an excellent 1-0 victory with Billy Locke heading home the winner in the 90th minute against our local rivals Winchmore Hill.
The 5th XI also had a well earned victory 4-0 over local rivals Winchmore Hill, who are always hard to beat at any level.
The 6th XI had their fixture postponed due to Old Stationers sadly being unable to field a 3rd XI.
Nearly a full fixture list this week lets hope for some good results
