I just read your "Presidents Patter", so thought I would drop you a line. It's hard to believe that 2 players for the 1's would simply fail to show up; in all my years playing, I think the only times we played with 10, was down to an injury on the field or a sending off. I'm sure the decline of the 1st XI & how to find a way back to prominence is 'doing your head in'; it definitely saddens me!
I had hoped to be over for October 11th, however this has been a year full of change & events, all of which have cost $'s. My corporate job was cut in March, so I am rebuilding my financial planning practice. Fortunately my health is good & I have had a busy summer coaching & organising coaches for the local Soccer Club (where I work part-time).
I'm sorry to miss out again & will make every effort next year (120 for the Club). In the meantime my very best wishes to all my old friends & colleagues.......and to you Nigel, I know how much you care, so I hope you receive the support & can generate the results you deserve. Take care of yourself & 'keep the faith'.
