The U12's earned a hard earned draw at home to HMH Panthers in the WFL Green Division on 18/10/2018.
Norsemen bossed long periods of play with excellent wing play from Jorge Dos Santos and Jake Coles supported by Harry Hales but they couldn't force the goal due to some heroic defending and a bit of bad luck. After half time we were unlucky to go one behind when Evan Burgess saved a free kick and the opposition were first to the rebound, however we came back strongly, George Kamoga stormed forward from midfield to smash a shot across the keeper and into the corner. We then enjoyed a spell of pressure with several corners and eventually it told with Arthur Weaver lashing into the roof of the net. We couldn't hold on and a free kick into our box deflected to an opponent who gleefully stabbed home. Goalscorers Arthur Weaver, George Kamoga

Our second game of the season ended in victory on a glorious sunny day at Norsemen. The game started well when we took an early lead 5 minutes into the match. A cross from Nikhil was smacked home by Oscar. The visiting team had plenty of pace up front and our back three (Ethan G, Liam and Harry) had to be alert at all times. Our lead was then doubled when lightening Lamba charged onto a long ball over the top from Liam and cooly slotted home. Monty sustained a few stud marks on his knee after a fiery challenge by Barnet’s striker. With half time approaching the visitors pulled one back with a goal mouth scramble in the box. The match restarted and Norsemen took control of the second half. The fans were treated to a great display of football with Harry, Liam and Ethan G marshalling the defence. Nikhil worked tirelessly in midfield and Charlie showed some great touches down the wing. A great run from Ethan M set up Oscar for his second goal as he stroked the ball home. Ethan M was then in the groove once more as his mazey run found David unmarked who then bagged his brace. The game was then killed off when Liam’s thunderbolt was smashed into the bottom corner. The Hornets then conceded two late goals running out of steam due to the heat and a depleted squad. Roll on Saturday
