Another glorious day at Hydeside with once again all 5 pitches in use and the results generally very good. The first team continued their good start with a comprehensive victory over newly promoted Carshalton by 7-3 the three goals we conceded were all from set pieces so some work needed there.
The reserves continued their winning start with a cup win 5-2 against Old Aloyisians we had a man sent off and some trouble on the touch line. After our bad record we need to be especially well behaved this season.
The fourths had a great result 1-1 against Broomfield 1st bizarrely put in that league by the SAL.
The fifths were our only losers narrowly in the cup to Old Albanians.
The sixth had a great win against The Hill always very welcome and the sevens won a tight match against Old Lyonians.
So far so good but I think the hard work put in by some of our members is paying off and we can look forward to a successful season.
