On a tricky 3G pitch, the Hawks fought back from 0-2 down to secure a hard earned 2-2 draw this afternoon.
Hawks tried to play their passing game in wet conditions against Harlow's long ball football. With Arthur away, Jake was in goal and played very well between the posts. The ball went from one end to the other until Harlow broke away to score but it was offside. It was another long ball to Harlow's strikers feet and it 1-0 at half time. It was more scrappy football in the second half and Harlow punished Hawks with another long ball to make it 2-0. Was Hawks 10 month unbeaten run coming to an end? The Hawks coaches changed tactics, adding more pace to our midfield and defence. Suddenly the Hawks passing game was back. A fantastic strike from Theo made it 2-1 and it was game on! 2 minutes from time the ball dropped to Harry H, it was 2-2, time for a Dele Alli 'eye celebration.' With a minute to go Hawks had two corners in quick succession but the ball just wouldn't go in. From a bad position, this draw felt like a win. Seb Berndes No.8 Norsemen Hawks
