No justice for the Hawks!!!!
Norseman really wanted a win before Christmas, but it didn't happen this week. George wasn't there because of a cold and Jake was away for his rest week. The start of the game was even but we had the first opportunity which was a nice cross from Harry H but it was blocked by their defence. The match was about the two defences, ours featuring Dexter, Luke, Oran and Arthur in goal and theirs were keeping all the chances out. Then trouble struck the Hawks. A corner wasn't cleared and it was a tap in for Hertford to make it 1-0. At half time Colin and Theo tried to raise our spirits and the second half begun. Theo had a couple of chances but Hertford were holding out. Then a cross came into the Hawks box, Arthur shouted 'keepers' but there was confusion and Hertford increased their lead to 2-0. But the Hawks didn't give up. Some lovely passing gave the ball to Harry and he shot with power and accuracy to make it 2-1 and our heads were up high. There was controversy at the end! A Hertford player sat on the ball as Dexter was attacking and the ref gave a throw in to Hertford! How did the ref not see the obstruction? It was a sad end to a strong performance from the boys. A big shout out to our defence who were outstanding and if we continue to play with this desire the wins will come. Seb Berndes No. 8 Norsemen Hawks scorer - Harry Hales
